Wet Snow
Snow Reporter Comments: Today at Perisher 26 Aug 2026 – A thick fog has settled over the resort this morning after yesterday's wet weather finally cleared, so visibility will be tough to start. It should improve as the day goes on. It's currently 2°C, climbing to a forecast top of 8°C, with west to southwesterly winds of 15 to 20km/h easing through the day. Temperatures didn't drop below freezing overnight, so the snow is soft from first lifts. Mt Perisher 6, Village 8 Express Chair, Leichhardt Quad Chair, Happy Valley T-Bar, Wentworth T-Bar, Sturt T-Bar, Mitchell T-Bar and Blaxland T-Bar are turning at Perisher Valley, along with Kaaten Triple Chair and Captain Cook J-Bar at Smiggin Holes, and Summit Quad Chair, Terminal Quad Chair, Early Starter Double Chair and Pony Conveyor at Blue Cow. Ridge Chair is running too, but for ANC Mogul Event participants and staff only today — it'll reopen to the public once the event wraps, ahead of the weekend. Eyre, International, Sun Valley, Olympic and Lawson T-Bars, Telemark T-Bar, Pretty Valley Double Chair, North Perisher T-Bar and Interceptor Quad Chair remain closed at Perisher Valley, along with Piper, Link, Burke, Wills, Hume and Scott T-Bars at Smiggins. The grooming team is working hard to rebuild terrain across the resort over the next couple of days, with snowmaking windows expected ahead of the weekend. There's no ski access between Perisher and Blue Cow today, so take the Skitube between the two, and use the Guest Shuttle to reach Smiggins. Slopestyle and Perisher Sports have savings of up to 50% off select products, with pass holders getting an extra 15% on top.
