Big White’s terrain spans 108.5 km of groomed pistes and off-piste zones across 1,119 hectares. The mountain is divided into several key areas, including the main village slopes, Gem Lake, Black Forest, and the alpine bowls above the Powder Chair. With a summit elevation of 2,319 m and a vertical drop of 777 m, the resort offers a mix of open bowls, ridgelines, and tree-lined descents.

Beginners will find gentle terrain near the village base, with surface lifts and wide green runs like Easy Street and Happy Valley. These zones are ideal for learning and progression, with ski school access and nearby tubing lanes for added fun.

Intermediate skiers can explore the Black Forest and Sun Ripe zones, where blue runs like Serwa’s and Kalina’s deliver long, flowing descents. These areas are well-groomed and served by high-speed lifts, making it easy to rack up mileage across the mountain.

Advanced terrain includes steeper pitches off the Cliff Chair and Gem Lake Express, with runs like Exhibition and Paradise offering technical descents and natural features. The alpine bowls above the Powder Chair provide wide-open skiing with variable snow and dramatic views.

Expert skiers can drop into double-black zones such as The Cliff and Falcon Bowl, which feature steep chutes, tight trees, and powder stashes. These areas are patrolled and marked, but require strong skills and confident navigation.

Freestyle riders can head to the TELUS Park, which includes rails, boxes, jump lines, and a halfpipe. The park is groomed daily and designed for progression, with features for all levels and a dedicated lift for quick laps.

Big White’s terrain diversity and consistent snow make it a standout for skiers of all abilities. Whether carving groomers or exploring off-piste bowls, the mountain offers a balanced mix of challenge, scenery, and accessibility.
