Alpine was nice yesterday. It’s a little thin on Lakeview and Sherwood lifts. Front side of Alpine was sweet! At Palisades, Shirley and Gold Coast have nice groomers today. Snow is a little sticky in the moguls, and where it’s not groomed ice/crud combo. But overall temp is nice, not too windy.

Skied Alpine Base today - had a fabulous day!! We were leery of the warmer weather but we were pleasantly surprised that we found nice groomers throughout the day by moving about the mountain. Groomers that were made early this morning are good, the rest is rubbish. Many very sticky parts, and icy parts. Best to stick to the groomers. No lines.

It’s cold and snow up top is light and good in spots but you need to search for it. Wind was blowing top of peaks can be pretty bald. Looks for places that get snow blown in or groomers. Lower mountain groomers are frozen solid. Have fun and be safe out there.

Freaking awesome! Pretty good snow, a bit wet, and not all the lifts were open. Zero lines. Only gonna get better from here!

Today Jan 1st 2026 Palisades top of Tram 8200 ft 11:02. Snow is great, conditions foggy in places, raining at bottom 6200 at 10:30. 12:20 stopped raining at 6200. No precipitation right now. Carpe diem!

The upper mountain opened as did Base to Base to Alpine with a few runs there. Mountain Run was sweet today; nice grooming! The snow was cold, crunchy and fast. A few places scraped to ice. Just keep your edges sharp. The line for Funitel was fast. Snow is great. Crowds sparse.

Most insane line ever for the funitel. I would estimate a thousand people in line. Wraps all the way through the village, through ktbase bar, behind the base bar and down to chamois!! Snow looks great. Mountain not operationally ready. Understaffed. Need staff to open a mountain. One staff pers...
