Sugar Bowl Resort Trail Map
Sugar Bowl’s terrain spans four distinct peaks—Mt. Disney, Mt. Lincoln, Crow’s Nest, and Judah—each offering a unique skiing experience. With 1,650 acres and a vertical drop of 1,500 feet, the resort provides a diverse mix of open bowls, tree-lined glades, groomed cruisers, and steep chutes. The base elevation is 6,883 feet, and the summit reaches 8,383 feet, ensuring reliable snow conditions throughout the season.
Beginners will find welcoming terrain near the Village Gondola and the Judah base area. Runs like Flume and Tunnel 41 offer gentle slopes with wide turns, perfect for building confidence. The Mountain Sports Learning Center provides lessons and rentals in one location, and the Beginner’s Portal ensures easy access to green terrain.
Intermediate skiers can explore the expansive groomers off Mt. Disney and Mt. Lincoln. Trails like Union Pacific and Silver Belt offer long, flowing descents with consistent pitch. These areas are ideal for carving and progression, with lift access via the Disney Express and Lincoln Express chairs.
Advanced terrain is concentrated around Crow’s Nest and the upper sections of Mt. Lincoln. Runs like Crowley’s and East Face deliver steeper pitches and natural features, while the glades between trails offer playful lines through the trees. These zones are popular with experienced skiers looking for variety and challenge.
Expert skiers can test their skills on chutes like Avalanche and Palisades, which feature tight drops and technical terrain. These runs are best tackled in fresh snow and good visibility. The resort also offers backcountry access and uphill travel routes for those seeking deeper exploration.
Freestyle riders will find three terrain parks, including the newly launched Sugar Bowl Parks | CA near the Christmas Tree Express lift. The park features jump lines ranging from small to XL, plus 20 rails and jibs designed for progression and athlete development. The setup is updated regularly and serves as a training hub for local and visiting riders.
