Keystone Trail Map
Keystone’s terrain is spread across three mountains, each offering a unique skiing experience. Dercum Mountain is the most beginner-friendly, with wide groomers and gentle slopes perfect for families and those new to skiing. The Schoolmarm run, stretching 3.5 miles, is the longest at the resort and a favorite for its scenic descent and approachable pitch.
North Peak introduces steeper terrain and more challenging runs for intermediate and advanced skiers. Popular trails like Ambush and Prospector offer sustained vertical and varied terrain, while the Outback caters to expert skiers with glades, bowls, and natural features. The Outback Express lift provides quick access to this remote area, where powder stashes linger longer after storms.
Keystone’s terrain park, A51, is one of the most respected in Colorado. It features progressive zones for all skill levels, from beginner boxes to advanced jumps and rails. The park is serviced by its own dedicated lift, allowing for efficient laps and easy access to features.
Families will appreciate Adventure Point, located near the top of Dercum Mountain. In addition to tubing lanes, it offers snow biking and other winter activities that complement the ski experience. The snow fort is a seasonal favorite for kids, adding a playful touch to the mountain.
For those seeking solitude, the Outback’s tree skiing and natural glades offer a quieter alternative to the more trafficked front-side runs. The resort’s vertical drop of 3,138 feet ensures long descents and varied terrain across all three peaks.
Keystone’s snowmaking infrastructure ensures reliable coverage across its 77.1 miles of skiable terrain. Combined with natural snowfall and high elevation—base at 9,273 ft and summit at 12,411 ft—the resort maintains excellent conditions throughout the season.
