The Sugarbush snow report for Jan 13 is a 24" base depth with 11 of 16 lifts open. Please note ski conditions and snowfall at Sugarbush are sourced directly from the ski resort and are only recorded during the official ski season's opening to closing dates.
Jan. 13th, 2025, 1:43 PM: 13 days so far in 2025...and 35" of snow and counting. Lucky us, we've seen snow accumulations every consecutive day of the new year! The streak will continue tomorrow, as we are expecting up to 4 inches of fresh pow by Wednesday morning! But be aware that high winds will be accompanying these snow showers, and may affect lift operations. As they say in hospital soap operas...we'll know in the morning. Chilly temps reaching 11 at the summit and 21 at the base, but feeling colder with wind chill. Look forward to more packed powder conditions (with 40 groomers!) tomorrow with a bit of variance in snow depth and coverage across the mountain due to windblown snow. The skiing is great today, and should be even better tomorrow with the added freshies. Lower Domino is a surprising standout here at LP!
GMX starts things off at 8:00 AM, and all other scheduled lifts run from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM, besides our upper mountain lifts which spin until 3:45 PM. Castlerock will be open for hiking from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM via the Long Trail.
People of the park, rejoice! Riemergasse is open top-to-bottom with 75 features, serviced by the one and only, dearly beloved Sunny Q! And be sure to check out the 4-feature park at the bottom of Straight Shot and beginner park on Sugarbear Forest, also with 4 features.
There will be active snowmaking on Stein's, Hot Shot, and Waterfall at Lincoln Peak today, but it'll shut off and move up to Ripcord around midday. At Mount Ellen, we're making snow on Sugar Run.
All uphill routes are open. You can check out those specific routes here.
Do YOU know The Code?! The National Ski Areas Association is dedicated to promoting safety and responsibility on the slopes. January is NSAA safety month, and all month long, we'll be sharing important safety messages each day. Today's tidbit is "Stay hydrated! Don't forget to drink water."

Skied Sugarbush 12/20/24 the day they opened Mount Ellen for the season. It was amazing. Fresh snow made turns so enjoyable. This mountain has so many trails, and I found trails for all the different all mountain skiing one couldn't. Great mountain!
