Snow Reporter Comments: Today at Falls Creek 17 August 2026 — Another sunny day is ahead at Falls Creek following a solid overnight freeze, with groomed snow expected to be firm first thing before softening through the afternoon. The mountain is reporting 54 cm average snow depth, excellent visibility and no precipitation, while the Mt Beauty approach road is open with icy patches possible. Eleven lifts are operating, including Drovers Dream, Eagle Express, Gully, Halley's Comet, International, Lakeside, Monkey Bar, Ruined Castle, Scott, Summit and Towers. The groomers have prepared 7 km of Nordic terrain, with Panorama Loop, Horseyard Loop, Boat Ramp Link, Pipeline Trail and sections of the Aqueduct among the groomed or open trails. Some Nordic sections remain thin or patchy, particularly around the Dam Wall. Falls Creek is also hosting a full calendar of on-snow and village events throughout August, with Twilight Tuesdays, races, activities and other events scheduled across the month.
