17 August 2026 — Ōhau is open for a sunny day with light southwest winds and good visibility. The Double Chair, Platter and Snow Mat are open, giving beginners and developing skiers access to the learner terrain. A race-training course is also in use today.
The resort received 10 cm of new snow on Sunday, with light, dry powder pockets off piste and smooth, groomed main trails. The snow base is 55 cm at the Snow Mat and top of the chair, with 80 cm reported in upper-mountain off-piste terrain. Temperatures are around -2°C, with fine weather and light southwest winds expected.
Chains or 4WD are required for access, with chains required on 2WD vehicles.
