Snow Reporter Comments: 11:50am - Saddle Quad is on WIND HOLD With around 30cm of new snow on upper mountain, tapering to 5cm at base, there should be some great skiing & riding today. Patrol are out doing avalanche control and we will be aiming for Home Basin by 9am, with Saddle likely delayed until mid-morning. Grooming team have laid cord on a few trails, which will offer some epic turns. NZJFT event is on today with a small event corridor from summit down through crags. They timed it well and it'll be great to see some NZ kids competing. Weather forecast is for mix of sunshine and snow flurries with moderate westerly wind. Road is currently chain free but with snow in forecast, you must have chains to come up road.
